Istria tour is primarily designed for wreck divers. Archipelago of Istria is very rich with different types of wrecks and maximum depth very often varies between 35 and 45 m. Because of this fact, this wrecks are available for advanced scuba divers. Still, we must consider that these depths are bottom depths and it is highly recommended to use 15 L cylinder, twinset or stage with additional air or nitrox. This tour is highly exposed to weather conditions and these conditions are dictating completely dive spots and places where ship stays overnight. For this tour it is almost impossible to have strict schedule. High extra costs cover fuel costs of this long journey and many different licenses to dive on desired wracks which are under concession or under protection of Croatian Ministry of culture. Some wrecks on this tour are: Ledenik (20m), Luana (45 m), Draga (39 m), Vis (35m), Baron Gautsch (40m), Tihanny (35 m), Giuseppe Dezza (32 m), etc.
After start from Sukošan, this day is reserved for one swim-stop and further cruising toward island Ugljan and place called Kukljica. Kukljica is our home port and first day is always reserved for check of diving equipment, briefing and taking of necessary supplies for the whole week.
The ship stays overnight in Kukljica and second day (Sunday) it continues its journey toward north.
There is also option that instead Kukljica, ships continues cruising directly to island Molat. This option is largely influenced by weather conditions and time of guest’s arrival on the boat.
On Sunday we are cruising in area of island Premuda and our main goal is to reach island Mali Lošinj or Unije. We are staying overnight in one of these ports, next day (Monday) we start our cruising toward Istria. After two dives, we are coming to city of Pula.
These two days are reserved for diving in area north-west from city of Pula. There are lots of diving spots and because of open sea it is very hard to have strict time schedule. In order to reach and dive on desired locations (such as Baron Gautsch), we have cooperation with local dive center who can make transfer of divers. In case of hard sea conditions, there is always option to visit and dive in Brijuni National Park.
In last two days of our journey, we are cruising back toward south-east and area of North Dalmatia.
On Friday evening we coming back to Sukošan port and that this the end of this tour.
