The South Wreck tour covers the area of north and central Dalmatia, from Zadar all the way down south to the island of Vis. This kind of route is primarily designed for divers who prefer diving on wrecks instead of natural dive spots.
Our goal is to cover all possible wrecks which are located along this route with primarily focus on island Vis.
The biggest disadvantage of all wrecks on this tour is the depth on which they are located. Because of that, all divers need to have at least 15 L diving tanks for wrecks which are sunken up to 40 m deep.
For wrecks which are located deeper, a deco stage with EAN mixture (Advanced Nitrox Diving) is mandatory. Diving on trimix mixture on some of these spots is highly recommendable and possible.
Diving plans for tours like this must be discussed in detail and precise gas planning (oxygen and helium) must be done.
Basically this tour has 3 major combinations: diving on compressed air on the max depth of 40 m, advanced nitrox diving (deep air diving +EAN stage with 50% or 100% oxygen for deco) and trimix option
(diving with trimix on OC or CCR diving).
Depending on gas mixtures, diving equipment, location of wrecks etc. total number of divers on the boat can vary from 10 to max 18 divers.
This tour is very dependable on the weather conditions which can change desired diving locations Wrecks on this tour are: Plavi Jadran (18m), Vassilios T (25-52 m), Tetti (36 m), B 24 (39m), B-17 (72 m), Francesca da Rimini (38-52m), Zagreb (65 m), Vila Velebita (65m), Gladiator (45-55m), Štuka (28 m) Ursus (45-66 m).
After the departure from Sukošan, Vranjak usually spends the first night of cruising (Saturday) in a place called Kukljica on island Ugljan and last night of cruising tour (Friday) is always reserved for the port of Sukošan.
Possible extra costs of the South wreck tour are fuel surcharge, Vis zone and wreck fees, gases and rent of diving equipment.
In the case of bad weather the captain has a right to change the route plan.
One the first day of cruising, diving spots and possible suggestions can be discussed with the captain and the dive guide on the boat.
